Notes from Dusk Desk - Story 3

(Beep. Music fades in.)

Woo boy, that’s a hefty draft. Which I have, by the way, and now I’ve got a lot on my plate. It’s okay. I don’t mean anything by that. I can take time off work to record and edit this. That’s no problem. Also, I can put chapter timestamps in the show notes or something like that. I’m not quite sure, but we can make it work. Somehow.

But really, I think you’re right to make it this long. There’s something inevitable about it. The lesson is incredibly relevant, and I’m not surprised it came to you when we’re still on the gradual road out of the pandemic and unsure what the long term consequences are. And every culture, it seems, teaches some form of it. I remember the Bible verse. Uh… Luke 3:11 goes  “If you have two coats, give one away.” Actually, the draft reminded me that I have a bunch of clothes and miscellaneous stuff that I don’t use that other people probably need. Some still have the tags on, I’m a bit ashamed to say. I’ll take care of it this weekend.

Because if you have, give. Maybe there’s no need to get into the specifics of who this story was directed at in the first place.

Cassandra’s Tales and Truths is a production of Miscellany Media Studios. It is written, edited, performed and produced by MJ Bailey. Additional and episode-specific credits can be found in the show notes. Thanks!
