Notes from Dusk Desk - Story 2

Hey, I got the draft. So, I like what you did here, even though I see your point about being a little unconventional with regards to what you might be seeing or what the message was, but that might just be a personal preference. Because I am definitely the kind of person who embraces small inefficiencies in the name of my own frustration. But part of that frustration comes from the time I know it’s going to take to develop or even learn, let’s be real here, any new way of doing anything. The way I see it, there’s only so many ways to remake the wheel, and while you can try to find more, I think you need to ask if it’s worth attempting because eventually, you’re going to hit the point when it’s just not.

I think what you’re getting at is this idea that makes more sense when someone is talking about money than it does when talking about something intangible. There was that show, a while ago, about people who go to stupid lengths to save mere pennies when they don’t need to, and the spectacle of it all was great for a gawking audience to mock with friends or family. Because to save money is useful in the world we have, but to hoard pennies when doing so involves making oneself and those around you miserable is just absurd. And in the same vein, saving time might be useful, but trying to hoard seconds is going to get dicey.

No one lives forever no matter what they try. So, inventor, save time.
